What Time Do Hot Air Balloons Fly?

Balloon flights operate strictly during calm daylight hours, which vary depending on the season and weather conditions.

Summer Schedule:

  • Morning flights: Approximately 1 hour after sunrise

  • Evening flights: Around 2 hours before sunset

Midday flights are not possible in summer due to strong thermals that create unstable flying conditions.

Spring & Autumn:

In early spring or late autumn, cooler temperatures allow daytime flights, especially when the air is stable and wind conditions are light.

We always choose flight times to maximize safety and comfort while offering the best panoramic views.

Why not fly in the middle of the day?

During warm seasons, midday sun creates strong air currents and turbulence, which are unsafe for ballooning. Early mornings and evenings offer the most peaceful and scenic experience.
